  This station definitely beats the Platform 9 3/4!! I am too glad I decided to commute by train from Cairo to Aswan, got to visit this magical building. So clean, so organised, so beautiful, there’s lots of food court facilities and lots of platform vendors selling at normal rates even to the tourists. Definitely worth the visit!! And yes, the trains were very comfortable and very clean and very punctual too :)

  Seems big from the outside but is smaller on the inside. It’s nice when it’s not crowded, which is not very often. Can be reached using the metro subway. Get off at the Al-Shohadaa Metro Station & follow the signs that lead to the Train Station. Has multiple entrances but only one is functional and, as you can guess, that entrance is extremely busy and crowded with pushy people. Take good care of your belongings in there. Help desk is not obvious at first but exists. Workers do not wear any sort of uniform and everyone stares and pretty much everyone talks the same way so it is very challenging to tell who’s a worker that can be trusted and who isn’t. The trains themselves are pretty okay. Not very clean or sightly but comfortable to a degree. Keep your ticket on you at all times you might be asked for it more than once.

  Awesome city! Tons of activities and interesting things to do. Great food and friendly people.
