  Don't book their brunch at their night and day restaurant. The place is too loud for the band and too clustered. People book all the nice table and never show up. And the food is certainly good looking or appetizing that I didn't even bother taking photos.

  The Sushi bar at the Semiramis is very good. Chef Raoul (known by frequent Egypt travellers) is still at his best. My favourite: the duck sushi!

  Absolutely perfect place to stay! Comfortable, clean rooms with great views. Plenty of different restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines and some of the most friendly and helpful staff I've ever encountered on my travels!

  Hotel was excellent apart from rooms which are showing some age. Good food; staff were good. Missed the last star mainly due to room condition. Fine details missed.

  Pros: • The staff is very friendly and the concierge went above and beyond to accommodate us - simply fantastic! • The breakfast and the Thai restaurant are both quite good. Cons: • The hotel is old, and the rooms show their age. The bed is clean, but there are stains on the carpet and some mold in the bathroom. • The lobby, the restaurants, and some rooms allow smoking. This might bother tourists, particularly Americans, but IMO it’s a situation where you just have to accept the local culture.
