  The place lives up for its name, if you ever went to Dahab you'll know what I am talking about. It's chill, they have hamocks and a lovely terrace. Whenever a foreign friend of mine comes in Cairo, I always recommend it and they end up loving it!

  Our stay at Dahab made our trip what it was. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The location was great. The tours and airport pickup were convenient. Highly recommend!

  Phenomenal hostel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Their rooftop terrace is airy, comfortable, and has wonderful views. The staff was incredibly helpful, with everything from purchasing our train tickets to dinner recommendations. Even after we checked out, they had storage for our bags while we finished exploring the city. No AC, but the two rooms I stayed in both had wonderful air flow and fans.

  Recommended for budget travellers. The hostel is really cheap, and in a perfect location downtown. The staff is very friendly and chill, and not pushy at all about selling you anything. Since the price is so low, you can't really expect 3star hotel accommodation: yes the mattresses are thin and should be changed sooner than later, yes the blankets were borderline thin and it was a bit cold (we were there late January), yes there was only one sheet to cover the mattress but not one to sleep under it (I used my backup sleeping bag), and yes you hear traffic and the muezzin singing (but I can't imagine it's possible not to hear those Cairo sounds). But the showers were nice and hot, breakfast is good (not included but very cheap at 18LE), and it's nice to lounge on the rooftop. So, overall very good value for money. It's still a hostel, so in the end a lot depends on other guests, who can be quiet and respectful or who can be loud. Unfortunately the last night I hardly slept because a large group of teenagers descended on the hostel, took over the entire place, and partied till 4am. But that's always the risk at a hostel... Also, we had asked for airport pick-up but the driver wasn't there and we had to negotiate our own transport.

  Dahab hostel was a wonderful and welcoming experience from start to finish. Easy to find, incredible location at the heart of downtown Cairo with great facilities and rooms. The staff were extraordinary helping us find our way around town and finding the best food and activities. They were also incredibly helpful and understanding when we showed up for our booking and realised we had made it for the wrong night. Non the less they worked it out for us perfectly and made what could have been a big problem, an easy fix. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us, you made our experience in Cairo exceed expectations!
